The following list follows Maimonides, as he lists them in his magnum opus, The Mishneh Torah. It must be noted that many of these commandments (such as some of the commandments associated with sacrifices) are not practicable as long as there is no Temple in Jerusalem.
1. To know there is a G‑d–Exodus 20:2
This commandment is not to be lazily considered but that we are to prove all things. 1 Thess 5:21. What arguments do we have that there is an eternal creator?
I.The Earth is flat and motionless and has a dome over it demonstrating clear evidence of special creation and the divinity of the Bible.
a. The Globe images are photo-shopped.
b. There is no annual parallax.
c. High altitude baloon footage shows perfectly flat horizon with no progressive declination at 121, 000 feet of altitude:
d. 100% exposure of the Chicago Skyline from 60 miles away.
e. Sun light reflection patterns on the ocean denoting a flat plane interface.
f. The Solar Analemma proving the Southern hemisphere to be much larger than the Northern. Tyson admitted this when he said the earth is a pear.
g. Shrinking sun from noon to sunset which cannot be explained by a lack of solar filter for lack of experimental verification.
h. High altitude balloon footage shows a heat spot on Earth’s atmosphere under the Sun proving the Sun’s emanation does not hit the earth homogeneously and in parallel lines as was argued by the famous Eratosthenes. Instead it is a satellite of the Earth relatively close circuiting the Earth’s plane.
i. The Great Rift demonstrates the firmament. Cannot be dust because the image would change over time. But it doesn’t. It maintains the same appearance because It’s not dust.
II. Human beings are the only species on this Earth with books and math and geometry etc. while many creatures have much better sensory organs showing clear evidence of special creation and the Bible’s teaching of man as the creators’s image.
III. The prophecies in the Bible, Dan. 2, 7, 8, 9, 11, and Matt 24 especially show clear evidence of the Bible’s divine origin. One could make the argument also, that the very existence of the Jews is fulfillment of Bible prophecy seeing the world has been trying to annihilate these people for thousands of years.
IV. The ancient flood of Noah as described in the Bible is proof of Catastrophism in a young Earth model, evidencing special creation, as opposed to Darwinian Gradualism. All the ancient peoples of the world give testimony to the great flood:
V. Noah’s narrative was the original narrative as proved:
2. Not to entertain thoughts of other gods besides Him–Exodus 20:3
The primary idolatry of the world today is the Trinity doctrine that puts Yeshua as a God beside the Creator. But this can also refer simply to whatever we live for other than the creator. Paul says in Phil. 3:19 that the god of the wicked is their appetite.
3. To know that Elohim is one–Deuteronomy 6:4
Thus the Trinity doctrine is heresy. Echad here does not mean united, or Absolute Divine Simplicity, but one cardinally. The word echad can mean unity it can also mean and usually does mean one cardinal thing. The reason we know it is not saying what the Christians say is because the distinction between a numeric person and a numeric nature is meaningless nonsense. And the protestant doctrine of private judgment commits us only to doctrines that we can intellectually grasp.
4. To love Elohim –Deuteronomy 6:5
Not to have our affections inclined towards this age and our individual mortal lives. Much more can be accomplished in this world when we don’t have our affections set on it but on the creator and his coming kingdom on this earth where we will be immortal and under the rule of Elohim forever,
5. To fear Elohim –Deuteronomy 10:20
This command is utterly foreign to the Christian religion which revels in its license to sin. Their view of the law of Moses and the new Covenant completely removes from man fear of Yahovah’s judgment. If you take the Universalist atonement of the Christians seriously and consistently there is nothing to fear because everyone will be saved.
6. To sanctify Yahovah’s Name–Leviticus 22:32
Yeshua tells us in Matt. 5:17-19 that he did not come to do away with the law and warns us to keep the commandments. Thus, we know he was not doing away with:
Deuteronomy 6:13. Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.
Psalm 76:11. Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.
but warning us not to swear or vow falsely.
Lev. 19:And ye shall not swear by my name falsely
In order to do this we must know his name. I dealt with this issue in my book Why I Left the Christian Church, 29. However we should not take the controversies concerning pronunciation of the vowel points to extremes as Paul says,
2 Tim. 2: 15 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
7. Not to profane His Name–Leviticus 22:32
This word profane refers to instigation and occasions to blaspheme the name and religion of Yahovah. One of the ways this is done today the most is the way the modern Church tells the world it believes the Bible yet rejects most of what it says: Its cosmology, its laws, especially about sex, its gender roles, etc.
8. To destroy Pagan objects but not to destroy objects associated with Yahovah Deuteronomy 12:3-4
Monuments of Idolatry to be Destroyed: Duet 12:29-32, Isa 30:22, Jude 23, Exo 34:13, Duet 7:25, Num 33:52, Rev 2:14, 20 (knowingly), Gen 35:4, 2 Kings 10:22-28, 2 Kings 23: 4, 5, 6,7 ,2 Chron 23:15, Dan 1:8, 2 Kings 16:4, 10, 2 Chron 13:9, Exo 23:13, Duet 12:3,30, Josh 23:7. The purpose of this is so these religions will be forgotten and God’s people will not ensnared by them. So, we determine what needs to be destroyed by this standard: could this thing that was used for idolatry of itself remind some person to return to that idolatry or of itself be a path back to it. Historical Examples: Chrysostom had temples of idols destroyed in Phoenicia; Constantine did not destroy the temples of the idols when he came into power and because of this Julian the Apostate was able to resurrect these idolatries. [EPC, 165] Angelic Virginity They say that they do that which the fathers have done. Yet Hezekiah breaks the brazen serpent which Moses had made. [2 Kings 18:4.]
9. To listen to the prophet speaking in the name of Yahovah–Deuteronomy 18:15
However, I do believe this office has expired with the apostolic age as described in my article: https://southernisraelite.wordpress.com/2017/03/21/a-defense-of-strong-cessationism/
10. Not to try Yahovah unduly — Deut. 6:16
This was the passage Yeshua refuted Shatan with in Matt. 4:1-7:
Matt. 4:1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry. 3 And the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” 4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’” 5 Then the devil *took Him into the holy city and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 and *said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written, ‘He will command His angels concerning You’; and ‘On their hands they will bear You up, So that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’” 7 Jesus said to him, “On the other hand, it is written, ‘You shall not put the Yahovah your Elohim to the test.’”
We are taught here against the Charismatic lunatics that the Creator is to be played and gambled with. We are to take care for our own lives and make sound and thought through decisions if we want our lives to turn out well. Modern Christians put the creator to the test in allowing the wicked to rule over them expecting the Creator to save us from this while all along we break his laws.
